The 4-wheel lower body in white is a replacement part that is made by Hayward using the same high-quality materials used to manufacture the original factory part, making this item a genuine OEM product.

The lower body was built to be the main housing unit for all the cleaners’ parts just like a chassis is designed to do in a car. This unit also acts as a protective cover for internal parts such as the turbine, drive/reduction gears, and the steering bracket roller, ensuring they are not disturbed by any outside influence or debris.

The part is white to match the color scheme of the cleaner and is marked as to which side of the cleaner you are looking at (‘L’ for Left; ‘R’ for Right) when performing maintenance. There is also an opening in the center where the turbine rests above the suction inlet, allowing the dirt and debris to travel up through the hose and into the pool’s filtration system.
