Pentair 3/8″ Drain Plug Knob || 071131
The drain plug was designed to be removed to allow the water trapped below the impeller and volute to be drained out. This also helps avoid needing to disconnect the pump from the plumbing and having to drain the water out manually by tipping the pump to the side or upside down.
