This part is black with teeth that run along its edge and has a gold-like center on its backside for the shaft from the gearbox assembly to be placed so that way it can rotate. Over the life span or length of use from this cleaner can cause the teeth to wear down affecting the rotating power of this sprocket. This ultimately means that it needs to be replaced to restore the cleaning abilities back to the cleaner.
